Animation
Learning Goal:
I can create an animation using a web-based tool.
I can create an animation using a web-based tool.
Activities:
Watch the demonstration and sample animations.
Go to ABCya http://www.abcya.com and click on 4th Grade. Scroll down to the Animate tool.
Create and save an animation:
1. Click anywhere in the drawing area to begin.
2. Choose a color and brush size.
3. Click on Background. Click on Show Previous Slide.
4. Draw the Background. The Background stays the same in every frame. Put ground, a target, a basket, a lake, etc. in the Background frame.
5. Click on the number 1 frame. Draw your moving object at its starting point.
6. Click on the number 2 frame. You will still see a light picture of frame 1. Draw your object in a slightly different place. Don’t move it too far or the cartoon will not be smooth.
7. When your object has made all of the movements that it needs, click on Loop then click on Play.
8. To save your animation, click on Save. Make sure that the window opens to your My Documents folder. Give the file a name that ends with .gif (Example: arrow.gif)
